Each artist was asked the same series of questions relating to the live music experience, before being photographed just before and again immediately after performing.
Band: Two Door Cinema Club
Interviewee: Sam Halliday
Venue: Shepherds Bush Empire, London
Date: October 22nd 2010
What is your most memorable live moment as a fan?
Believe it or not, when I was 11 I got to go on stage with Destiny’s Child. I met Beyonce briefly. It was pretty memorable!
What is your most memorable live moment as a performer?
Our first gig in Manhattan was pretty special. We played a sold out Bowery Ballroom, which is such an iconic venue. So many great bands have played there. (The actor) Jason Schwartzman was on our guest list for that gig too, which was pretty cool.
Have you had any disasters on stage?
More often that not we have some kind of issue! Usually we try our best not to make it obvious that we are having problems.
Do you have any live performance aspirations?
It would be great to fully replace our backing track with live musicians. We have a live drummer now so that was a big step in that direction. We would also love to be able to tour our full show worldwide. All our own fear and a proper light show.
