What is your most memorable live moment as a fan?

Wireless 2008 was pretty special for me. Jay-Z was headlining and it was the first ever festival I played. It’s still amazing to think that a year later I was supporting him on tour!

What is your most memorable live moment as a performer?

Performing on the Pyramid stage with Snoop Dogg at Glastonbury was the highlight so far. It felt like a special moment in modern music history – a bona fide hip-hop legend performing with a new British talent.

Have you had any disasters on stage?

I did slip on stage once, yeah. I’d just got some brand new Nike Air Max 1’s and began jumping around on stage but the floor was slippery and I fell right over. Fortunately it was at the beginning of the set so I had plenty of time to make the audience forget about it.

Do you have any live performance aspirations?

To do a sell out Arena tour. That would be amazing!

Any pre/post performance rituals?

Just vocal warm ups, say a prayer, bring everyone in to the dressing room about half an hour before we go on and get a bit of a party atmosphere going on. Tell some jokes and get in the mood!
